These Terms of Participation ("Terms") apply to everyone who applies to, pays for, or takes part in Haute Styles Week events and programs, including designers, showroom participants, Showroom & Storefront brands, models, Model Bootcamp participants, press, and sponsors ("Participants"). Haute Styles Week is operated by Haute Styles Week Inc. ("HSW," "we," "us"). By submitting an application or making a payment, you agree to these Terms, our Refund & Cancellation Policy, our Privacy Policy, and our Child Safety & Safeguarding Policy.
1. Applications and Selection
Applying is free. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance, placement, a specific time slot, or a specific location. HSW reviews applications based on quality, originality, readiness, event fit, and available capacity, and may accept or decline any application at its discretion. Any event-specific terms provided in writing to you form part of these Terms.
2. Packages and Fees
- Designer Runway Package: $2,000. Includes 8 runway looks in the selected Designer Showcase. Additional looks require written HSW approval.
- Showroom-Only Package: $1,000. Includes one clothing rack or one table at the selected Showroom & Storefront, with no runway presentation.
- Showroom & Storefront Package: $1,000. Includes one display table or one clothing rack at the selected Showroom & Storefront.
- Private Individual Runway Show: $10,000, by separate written agreement.
- Model Bootcamp: $75 per session or $300 for the full program.
- Model applications, casting, press registration, sponsor inquiries, and career applications are free.
A $500 deposit holds a Designer, Showroom-Only, or Showroom & Storefront space. The remaining balance is due by the deadline stated in your confirmation. If the balance is not paid by that deadline, HSW may release your space and the deposit is forfeited. All payments are processed securely by Stripe. Sponsorship fees and terms are set out in a separate written sponsorship agreement.
3. Refunds and Cancellations
All payments are non-refundable. If HSW cancels an event, you receive a credit toward participation in the next available HSW season. Full details are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
4. Event Changes
Dates, times, venues, schedules, lineups, and formats may change. HSW will notify affected Participants of material changes. A change of date, time, venue, or format is not a cancellation.
5. Designer Responsibilities
Designers agree to present original work that is new to the runway unless HSW approves otherwise; present 8 looks unless additional looks are approved in writing; attend required production meetings, model fittings, and rehearsals; deliver garment details, sizes, look order, styling notes, and brand assets by the deadlines provided; and accept that model assignments, casting, and running order are determined by HSW. Hair and makeup for runway models is provided by the HSW professional hair and makeup team, and the season's unified look is set by HSW's creative direction.
6. Showroom and Showroom & Storefront Responsibilities
Showroom participants and Showroom & Storefront brands may present only approved products and categories. Sharing or transferring a space requires written approval. Participants are responsible for their own inventory, displays, payment processing, sales reporting, taxes, licenses, and permits, and for keeping their area safe, clean, and clear of aisles and emergency routes. Counterfeit, unauthorized branded, and prohibited items are not allowed. Any insurance requirements will be provided with your confirmation. Power, extra furniture, and special placement are provided only if confirmed in writing.
7. Models
Adult models must be 18 or older on each event date. Children ages 6–13 may participate only through a parent or legal guardian and under our Child Safety & Safeguarding Policy. Selection is not guaranteed, and applying does not imply paid work, travel, or lodging. Any compensation or event-specific terms will be disclosed in writing before a model commits.
8. Media, Photography, and Intellectual Property
Designers and brands keep ownership of their collections, brand names, logos, and artwork. HSW events are photographed and filmed. Participants grant HSW a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use event photographs and video of their runway presentation, showroom display, brand name, and logo to document and promote Haute Styles Week. HSW obtains separate authorization before using a model's likeness in promotional materials. Images of children are used only according to the separate media permissions given by their parent or guardian. Professional runway photographs provided to designers may be used for portfolio and promotional purposes, subject to photographer credit and any usage terms provided.
9. Media and Press Opportunities
HSW invites media representatives, photographers, journalists, and fashion industry professionals to its events. HSW does not guarantee publication, interviews, press coverage, sales, attendance, buyer orders, or any business outcome.
10. Conduct
Participants must act professionally and respectfully, follow HSW, venue, and production directions, and comply with all applicable laws. HSW may remove any Participant whose conduct is unsafe, disruptive, or in breach of these Terms, without refund or credit.
11. Child Safety
All Participants must follow the Child Safety & Safeguarding Policy whenever minors are present, including rules on youth areas, communication, and photography.
12. Personal Property and Liability
Participants are responsible for their own garments, inventory, equipment, and belongings. HSW is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to Participant property. To the fullest extent permitted by law, HSW's total liability to any Participant is limited to the amount that Participant paid to HSW for the affected event.
13. Events Beyond Our Control
HSW is not liable for delays or cancellations caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including severe weather, public health orders, venue closures, government action, or emergencies. If HSW cancels an event for any reason, the credit described in Section 3 applies.
14. Changes to These Terms
HSW may update these Terms. The version posted on this page with its "Last updated" date applies to new applications and payments.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
